West London Garden

This garden is something truly special to me. Designed hand-in-hand with my mother and father at the house where I’ve lived since I was born. Over the years, the garden has evolved with our family, and now, as life slows down a little, we’ve reimagined it together: not just as a space to look at, but to live in and continue to grow with.
We carved out deep planting beds that overflow with colour and character, added two lively ponds, and kept a soft patch of lawn for lazy afternoons. At the far end of the garden, we built a quiet seating nook bathed in sun, just out of sight from the house. This small act of concealment gave the garden a sense of depth and surprise, a hidden retreat in the city.
The planting is thoughtfully layered to bring joy in every season. Flowering shrubs, sculptural topiary, and resilient perennials give the space shape and rhythm, while also welcoming wildlife at every opportunity to bring the garden to life. It’s a place full of memory, energy, and life. Just like the home it surrounds.
