The Park, Ealing

This expansive urban garden has been extensively redesigned to reflect the rhythm of a growing family's life, and to create a landscape that is both functional and beautiful. A large cedar pergola forms the architectural centrepiece, framing an inviting outdoor dining space and supporting a graceful climbing wisteria. It also subtly divides the garden, establishing distinct areas for relaxation, play, and gathering.

These defined zones lend a sense of discovery, encouraging movement through the space and making the garden feel even larger than its boundaries suggest. Two separate lawns provide generous open areas for family use, while carefully positioned seating spots capture sunlight at different times of day.

Closer to the house, the design responds sensitively to the Grade II listed property, combining refined planting and sculptural topiary with a restrained and elegant material palette. Toward the far end, an exotic border bursts with texture and colour, providing a lush screen that gives privacy to a garden office.

Layered, and full of character, this garden balances structure and softness to create a timeless family garden that evolves throughout the seasons.
